Generally, the manuals do not provide in depth payroll training (set up of employees and withholdings, running payroll, paying employees) but they do provide direction on payroll tax bookkeeping.
Generally, the manuals do not provide in depth payroll training (set up of employees and withholdings, running payroll, paying employees) but they do provide direction on payroll tax bookkeeping. The latter helps the business owner stay on top of employer obligations.
One example is the QBO Virtual US manual which discusses basic QBO Payroll setup and gives best practices regarding payroll tax bookkeeping - see more here in Pure Bookkeeping Central: (https://members.purebookkeeping.com/spaces/73/qbo-virtual-usa/wiki/view/16463/6-pb-template-payroll-tax-reconciliation)
Another thing to note is that anecdotally it appears many businesses outsource their payroll processing instead of using QBO's native payroll function.
